PASP-Zn (Polyaspartic Zinc) | Biodegradable Zinc for Healthier Soils & Crops

High-Activity Zinc Nutrient | Fully Biodegradable | Liquid & Powder Available | Customization Ready

Product Overview

PASP-Zn is the zinc salt of polyaspartic acid—a modern chelated zinc fertilizer that delivers active zinc to crops while being fully biodegradable. It holds zinc ions in a stable, plant-available form, preventing them from being fixed in soil and ensuring efficient absorption through roots and leaves.

What makes it different: it works effectively, breaks down naturally in the environment, and even provides energy for plant growth as its breakdown products (aspartic acid and fumaric acid) feed into the plant's natural metabolic cycle.

Supplied as a solid powder or a liquid solution—same performance, different format. Choose what fits your operation.

Manufactured by Hebei Think Do Chemicals Co., Ltd, with flexible customization including packaging, labeling, concentration adjustments, and OEM/ODM services. Full export documentation (COA, MSDS, TDS, commercial invoices, packing lists) accompanies every shipment.

Biodegradability Fully biodegradable Fully biodegradable

Molecular Formula: [C₄H₄NO₃]₄Zn

Key Benefits

For crops:

Prevents and corrects zinc deficiency—reducing stunted growth, small leaves, and poor grain fill

Promotes faster seed germination and stronger seedling emergence

Enhances fertilizer efficiency—works with urea or compound fertilizers to boost nutrient uptake

Strengthens stress resistance—helps crops fight drought, cold, and disease

Improves yield and quality—increases fruit set, grain weight, and crop uniformity

Fully biodegradable—breaks down into aspartic acid and fumaric acid, providing extra energy for plant growth

Acts as a heavy metal passivation agent—helps immobilize Pb²⁺, Cd²⁺, and other toxic metals in contaminated soils

Can be applied as foliar spray, drip irrigation, or mixed with water-soluble fertilizers

For animal nutrition:

Can be used as a nutritional fortifier in animal feed, providing essential zinc for livestock and poultry

For the environment:

Unlike traditional chelators like EDTA that persist for years, PASP-Zn degrades completely in soil and water

Leaves no toxic residues, safe for long-term soil health and beneficial organisms

How to Use

For foliar spray, dilute liquid PASP-Zn 800 to 1000 times with water. For powder, dissolve in warm water to make a stock solution first, then dilute. Apply during early growth, before flowering, and during grain or fruit development—especially when zinc deficiency symptoms appear (small leaves, shortened internodes, white bud in corn).

For drip irrigation, apply 1.0–2.0 liters per acre (liquid) or 0.3–0.6 kg per acre (powder) every 15 to 20 days.

For mixing with NPK fertilizers, blend directly with urea, compound fertilizers, or water-soluble blends to improve overall nutrient availability.

For soil heavy-metal passivation, use higher rates to immobilize toxic metals in contaminated farmland.

Pre-dissolve powder in warm water before mixing. Avoid mixing with strong acids (pH < 3) or strong alkalis (pH > 11). Always test compatibility before large-scale mixing.

Environmental Profile

PASP-Zn is readily biodegradable—its polyaspartic backbone breaks down completely in soil and water. Unlike EDTA-based chelates that persist in the environment for years, PASP-Zn decomposes into simple, harmless compounds. Its breakdown products—aspartic acid and fumaric acid—are natural plant metabolites that can be absorbed by crops as an additional energy source, supporting stronger growth and better yields. Low toxicity to plants and aquatic life makes it a responsible choice for sustainable farming.

Packaging, Storage & Safety

FAQ

Q: What makes PASP-Zn different from EDTA-Zn?

A: PASP-Zn chelates zinc effectively but is fully biodegradable—EDTA-Zn persists in soil and water for years. PASP-Zn is the greener choice.

Q: Can PASP-Zn be mixed with fertilizers?

A: Yes. It blends well with urea, NPK, and water-soluble fertilizers.

Q: Can PASP-Zn be used for heavy metal soil remediation?

A: Yes. It acts as a heavy metal passivation agent, immobilizing toxic metals like lead and cadmium in contaminated soils.

Q: Can PASP-Zn be used in animal feed?

A: Yes. It can serve as a nutritional fortifier, providing essential zinc for livestock and poultry nutrition.

Q: Liquid or powder—which should I choose?

A: Liquid saves labor and is ready to use. Powder costs less to ship. Performance is identical. Shelf life is 12 months for both.

Q: Is PASP-Zn suitable for organic farming?

A: It meets green chemistry standards due to full biodegradability. Organic certification varies by region—consult your local certifier.

Q: Is packaging customization available?

A: Yes. Hebei Think Do Chemicals Co., Ltd provides custom packaging, labeling, concentration adjustments, and OEM/ODM services.
